Associate Software Engineer

American Specialty Health, Inc. is seeking an Associate Software Engineer, Inspire to join our Information Technology Software department. This position will design, develop and automate letters generated within American Specialty Health using Quadient Inspire software that offers composition-through-delivery services, including workflow solutions, and comprehensive print production and distribution. As a Inspire programmer, you would be using this industry supported software to write logic and precisely lay out variable and static elements on direct mail pieces in accordance with customer specifications. This position will be working directly with customers and various departments within the ASH organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop letter templates using Quadient Inspire software to customer specifications. 
  • Write rules, scripts, and data transformations within the Quadient Inspire Designer as directed.
  • Implement document features required by the high volume print production in the context of Inspire Designer and Quadient Automation Server. 
  • Maintain image, template, and XML libraries.
  • Understand and update XML code.
  • With minimal supervision, perform research and debug technical issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.  If equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
  • Minimum 6 months software programming experience, including object-oriented development, working with relational databases, and writing SQL queries or stored procedures required or successful completion of programming internship.
  • Familiarity with Quadiant Inspire software development preferred.
  • C#/ VB.NET/SQL Server experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job.
